HOMEBASE GROW YOUR OWN
D&AD competition brief.
The brief was to design a range of packaging and point of sale for Homebase’s Grow You Own fruit and veg range. They wanted it to be accessible to novice gardeners or those with out technical knowledge of gardening. The brand’s tone of voice is simple, earthy and fresh. The products are colour coded according to level of difficulty to grow (factors include space, effort, time, and yeild) so as to encourage novices to start with something easy (yellow logo) and then move on to more difficult varieties (red and then purple logos). Each seed box also comes with a pull out detailed, step by step instruction booklet.
